Horses for Sale or Lease

Lovely 3yo OTTB gelding who is FREE to a good home: He is 15.3hh, a striking chestnut with white blaze and one sock.  He is a total sweetheart and with training has the potential to be a great kids horse or 4-H project.  He was laid up from the track in June with a sesamoid injury in a hind ankle.  Recent xrays show he has healed well and could start back to work anytime.  He is sound now and would be suitable for flat work or pleasure.  He could do some low fences but I would not recommend him for a hunter or jumper.  He has the most wonderful personality and no stable vices. Owner is anxious to get out from under his bills so please contact me if you are interested and/or pass this along to anyone you know who might be.  We will ship locally for free. Cruiser - is an 11 yo, 15.3h, chestnut QH gelding. He has some navicular change in his right front and is recovering from a small tear in his superficial flexor tendon. He has a good prognosis but is unlikely to be able to return to our level of workload (2x/day, 6 days/week). He is a wonderful, quiet horse and is comfortable either Western or English. He would make a great light trail horse or be a great companion. Suitable for beginners. Free to an outstanding home. Dillon – is an 11 yo, 16.2h, chestnut TB gelding. He has some arthritic change in his neck and he is unable to handle our 2x/day, 6 day/week workload. He has been most recently used in our western program, but he started his life in English tack. He will make an excellent trail or companion horse. Free to an outstanding home. Malaren (Larry) – is a 9 yo, 16.3h, bay, SWB gelding. Larry is currently rehabilitating beautifully from a hindlimb soft tissue injury. He is 100% sound at the walk, trot and canter and is fully expected to return to jumping. Larry requires as much turn out as possible (8 hour minimum, 24 is better). He is suitable for an intermediate rider and up. He would be a great project for an adult amateur looking for a nice 2’6’ -2’9” horse. Larry would also make a nice dressage prospect. $2800 or best offer. Contact Paula Pierce, Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Center, 413.538.3442, email ppierce@mtholyoke.edu  Co  C
